I’m assuming Amesworth is now suicidal and intended to smash her navigation device to trap herself there and die. Which incidentally would also mean the deaths of Wally & Co.

Random thought: I wonder if Amesworth went anthro, would it snap her out of the irrational misery she’s currently in? That period of disorientation/adjustment (thinking of the Jim and Sarah story arc) might give the others time to reason with her. She’s past reasoning with as she is now.

Her mistake? Her project? Her responsibility? Is she and her alt. reality project the cause of the whole transformation of the people in Wally’s reality? In trying to reach alt. realities did she accidentally cause multiple realities to exchange people and rules of physics?

I just thought she was stepping through…

Can anyone see what that is falling from the tower in the second panel?

I’m guessing she wasn’t trying to get home, rather trying to find a corner of the multiverse to escape to where she wouldn’t have to worry about any of this BS

So, The Eden Project (whatever it is) was Amesworth’s. It has gone wrong, and she’s been traveling around to…fix it, or destroy it if it can’t be fixed. Maybe she isn’t crazy, but desperate because she knows it can’t be fixed. Don’t know what breaking the PDA would do (since the dimensions are already stretched out of shape), but it looks like she was going to stomp it.

Higher and Higher! To the max climax!

Looks like time for Marx and/or the lab to bust through for the rescue.

And as usual, it’s up to Wally to prevent someone from making it worse.

Hopefully she shoots the PDA. Destroying it may be the only way they can get out of there. Throw the doors wide open! Remember that drawing was a massive gate system, portals upon portals. I suspect it’s a master key. Over at Topsider control the beacon is on….all gates lead to them…for 12 minutes if the power holds. Sometimes extreme actions with a purpose can be seen as insane. There is no time to waste, no time to explain …. the countdown timer is running.

I’m wondering if she’s referring to the bigger picture….she is THE Amesworth, afterall. Amesworth Radiation, and I suppose the fracturing of reality, is her fault.

She could be trying to fix it all….or destroy it and just end the misery.

How this fits in with Albert and Free Energy, which I still postulate is the source of all of this, I still haven’t worked out.

Gee, I wonder what her anthro form will be…? Hmmm…

I’m wondering if she hasn’t fully realized that the room has turned into a portal? And, WHY are the outside surroundings falling apart? is THAT due to the room becoming a portal?

I have a sick feeling Amesworth is headed for a HORRIFIC fate.

Remember how that ‘haint’ haunted that beach for ‘years’ and screamed and screamed? As they say in the Dark Tower ‘Ka is a wheel’ I think when Chika encountered her was when she was completing yet another circuit of the loop. Meanwhile when we see her entering from the tiny bug world that was a different point in that loop.

I think she’s been insane all along. She’s been doing this over and over and OVER and she’s aware of it. She has gone through Toothbrush World with Wally and pals an impossible number of times. She is going to try to destroy the portal, Wally and company. Even though she understands it won’t work. She is going where she is going and where she began and ended up. And there is nothing she can do about it but go completely crackers.

Does this explain most topsider behavior we’ve witnessed to date?

if she breached her suit on this world, would she go anthro or turn into a toothbrush?

I think she’s going to shoot her mapping device to save Duffy. And Doom them All.

I hope Mr. Neathery doesn’t read the VERY learned speculations here. Or his poor head will end up hurting as much as mine does!

I hope I’m wrong, but my first impression of panel 2 was that the toothbrushes were turning back into people, and falling to their deaths!

I guess Duffy is falling thru a hole?
