Our IX is my favorite soap too. Looks like Puck is coming to the party with a double armload of stuff!

It’s my favorite soap opera, too! And after yesterday’s soap fiasco, I guess a soap opera is right on cue.

I wonder if that’s work Puck is bringing along with him, or notes on Our IX Lives to keep track of everything going on…

Uh Oh. Somebody please tell Robin to step out of the room for a few days. He doesn’t want to see this show.

I wonder if Our Nine Lives will have a Halloween theme to it too. I hope so.

Does Puck’s phone case have little cat ears?

Finally!!! It’s been too long since I’ve seen Kit Chase!

With his phone, Puck shall capture every frame of our nine lives in great detail.

When did Puck get a smart phone?

Mmmmm…Kibble Mix. The secret is the Worcestershire sauce (not surprising, as it contains anchovies). ;) ♥

Cat Ears on a phone sounds about right! But…. the other end… should either have a little tail… or some decent fangs! (Grin!)

Sigh! Not more of this. I’ll stop watching for a while.

So if we’re lucky we may get two weeks of vaguely Halloweenish theme to OIXLs but absolutely nothing will happen. Two weeks in a soap opera is like 10 minutes in normal life when it comes to advancing a plot.

Well it is a good thing I woke up at oh-dark-thirty today because there is soooo much to love in today’s strip! First, the cell phone case has cat ears. Now I cannot live without one. Do I order one with cat ears, or can I glue ears on my current case? Second, Georgia’s signature on the Oh-so-realistic yellow notepad paper. Third – wait for it – BoCC!!! Then there’s Beatrix’s little face on the message from her. . . Wait a sec, Beatrix got out again?!? Poetic license, sure, for a cartoon cat, But I still want to report Bookstore Lady to Cat Protective Services. Nope, I’m not yet through listing. . . I spy a cute, hungry Robber Mouse. And aww, Puck, I drag all my work and notebooks in front of the TV too! And there you have my long list of things I adore in today’s strip. Now, if there are toe beans and I missed ‘em, I leave it to Cat1963 to note.

Does this mean a loooooong IX special or is this a teaser for the Christmas special?

I have to hide it when ’Our IX Lives" comes on. I have a high school reputation to keep, after all. Also in HS, I swear it feels like everyone is constantly judging me.

Pop corn time!! Don’t worry Robin and Diskus, we won’t tell you what’s happening…well, maybe what’s happening with the daughter or, you know…; )

Why do people think it’s ok to spew their crap on the comment section? If you don’t like a comic or a specific arc that’s fine. DON’T READ IT. But I am baffled by those that feel that they have the right to shape the story just because they read it.

Seems like nothing but complaints on my favorite comics the last few days. If I were an artist it would be hard enough to keep going in these difficult times.. and worse if I had to put up with BS every time someone doesn’t like an artistic choice.

Have you not read the arc with Sophie and the mail? It’s heartbreaking. Do you think that Georgia just made that up? No need to make it up with critics spreading their hate everyday in the comment section.

Really?! Yay! I love the soap opera bits, and the thought that the kitties would have one (Our 9 Lives, no less!) just tickles me pink! Funny stuff!

This is the one soap opera I will watch.

Armand Iannucci did a bit about how different countries assign a different number of lives for cats. “In Greece, cats have 0 lives. Oh, I misread that, in Greece cats have Olives.”

International Adjust Your Chair Day — If you can. The problem is, most of those who design chairs—adjustable or not—have not the faintest idea of the human body, especially the spine. “Adjustable” and “orthopedic” have become meaningless sales terms.

International Gin and Tonic Day —Especially for those with “designer” chairs … Just how much “spinal lubricant” do they think we can drink? Or is it perhaps that their inspiration comes out of a bottle?

National Seafood Bisque Day — “Bisque” literally means “crayfish soup.” If you consider lobster to be a sort of giant crayfish, I suppose. I’ve always been disappointed in lobster (I take after Elvis in this respect, as well, and wouldn’t eat it if I’d chased it and killed it six times). However, a good lobster bisque is divine, whereas “seafood” could be anything, and therefore mere chowder. Neither goes with quinoa.

Those two little/big girl kitties are so gorgeous. You just want to hug them.

Clark Update.

Bad and Good. Big stones. He is in surgery now. Prognosis is guardedly optimistic. This is a fairly common surgery, we caught it before he was too far gone and he is a strong young cat.

I will post again when the vet calls with an update.

Lisa and I both absolutely love this BC community. With all that is going on in the world this blog remains a safe haven filled with wonderful compassionate people. We share our ups and downs, our past and current stories and we all share our care. Our common bonds triumph over the petty concerns of the silly human world.

Thank you for all of your love and support over the years and hopefully for years to come. We all have so many more stories to live and share, and I cannot think of a better place outside our family than this wonderful group.

On Sundays I go to a friend’s house in the early evening for scripture study. Yesterday, as I was heading out the door, Visitor came onto the porch, so (of course) I had to put some cat food out for him.

When I got home a couple hours later, he was still there and greeted me.

I love how Puck is juggling all his work. One wrong move and it would be disaster.

CLARK UPDATE

All is well. He has a temporary catheter and will stay at the very least overnight, probably 2 nights.. Elevated liver enzymes, hopefully self correcting.

What was a partial blockage a couple days ago had turned into a total blockage. I don’t have full details yet as they have been very busy and the Vet hasn’t been able to give us a full report yet. More tomorrow as it develops.

Isn’t somecat going to invite Goldie to the viewing party?

(grabs popcorn, cold drink, and favorite afghan….makes kissing noises to bring kitteh(s) to the comfy chair)
