Leaving weapons for the animals to hunt?

Won’t work. They do not have the same dexterity as humans. Create weapons they can use… such as antlers that double as wands, or every time they rear-up they can shoot a bazooka, those kinds of things… then they might have a fighting chance!

Reminds me of one of Philip José Farmer’s stories where the fall hunt has be come extra dangerous for human hunters because the animals now hunt back. Deer have developed color vision and can now distinguish hunter red (this was long before the Blaze Orange was standard and the hunting coats used to be a dark red plaid). Various other animals had developed extra abilities to deal with hunters. It was part of an anthology of his works that I read in the late 60’s during HS.

I go hunting in a very secret hunting ground. It’s a great place, variety and it comes wrapped neatly on a tray. No I’ll never tell.
