Reminds me of the time when the family set out in below freezing weather and cut down a tree on our 20 or so acres. The next day at work (after the tree had been set up and decorated), I received a frantic call from my wife saying there was a snake in the living room under a pint jar. She was right. It was a tiny, non-venomous ring neck snake. She found it curled up in a circle and thought it was a wheel from one of the kids toys – until she touched it. Our two girls were pretty excited about it. My wife, not so much. I threw it out in the yard and our orange tabby came along, took one look, and slurped it up like a strand of spaghetti. We’ve had artificial trees ever since.

What’s a tree without a squirrel. They bring life to an inanimate object.

Anybody remember Mickey Mouse with Chip and Dale in the Christmas tree? They drove poor Pluto crazy before Mickey finally sees them.
