Today is:

National Spicy Hermit Cookie Day. I don’t know what those are, but I just baked chocolate chip cookies yesterday so I’ll stick with those.

National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day. I really need to do that.

National Philanthropy Day

National Bundt Day

America Recycles Day. I do recycle, but our recyclables get picked up every other Thursday, so it isn’t recycling day here.

National Raisin Bran Cereal Day. I have some Raisin Bran, so I could do this.

Kind of hard to clean the rooms tho.

Here is one for you.. somebody broke into our Arboretum and cut down a rare 25’ tall fir tree that was over 100 years old. They cut down another even rarer one, but tried to drag it out and couldn’t, so they left it. All for a Christmas tree. I have no words…

That was before I got on the internet and found Ten Cats. And it made me look back at other strips from 2012. I found it interesting to see how few comments there were then (though I realize a lot of them were deleted since then, like the ones from Dry and Dusty when people were able to post pictures here) and how many commenters there were back then that we don’t see any more. I did see Happy, Happy, Happy as I browsed the old strips, but I wonder what happened to some of those others who don’t comment here any more?

Dang! That mouse is even snarkier than Chesney!

My favorite thing about hotels is breakfast. Yes, I know the prices are outrageous, but it’s so nice to have someone else cook it and clean up.

But it seems this little mouse just ordered a wedge of cheese. No omelet? No side of bacon? Not even toast? Come on, you’re on vacation!

Pleasing people (and mice) ~ often a thankless job!

Both babies got adopted yesterday. We wanted them to go together and the first lady wanted both but her landlords said no. She took the boy. The second woman took the girl. Both of Dr Susans’ kittens went to a young couple from Las Vegas.

I have this image of Annie with one of those really long Swiffers. As she cleans inside the hole, the mice are trying to avoid being dusted.

Some people (Or in this case, mice) are hard to please. That grouchy rodent might want to be careful or he’ll wind up as cat food! On another note, saw three varied thrushes and a wren while out walking today.
