    Now if you take parallel lines and put multiple lines across them, you could invent railroad tracks. Or picket fences. Or gates. Or tic-tac-toe.

    Put a bunch of parallel lines together and then a bunch of lines across them, and you could invent jail, where many people will end up if they don’t straighten out.;)

    Parallel lines never meet because the universe is flat. If the universe were round, like the earth, parallel lines could meet. If you want to test it out, pick two spots on the equator and draw lines going directly north from them both. Since both lines are going in the same direction, they’re parallel, but they will meet at the north pole.

    Euclidean geometry allows parallel lines to exist. Many other geometries do not. In Projective geometry for example there are no parallel lines.
