For some reason I’m reminded of Chris Rock’s shtick on the biggest lie about young women removing their clothes in public for compensation: “I’m doing it to work my way through college.”

On a serious note, I have read about college girls who became “exotic dancers” and “escorts” so that they could stay in school.

It’s a shame that they have to do that, but I admire their desire to attain the degree and move on. I will never condemn them.

On a frivolous note, anyone else thinking that Maxwell and Janis might have a history?

If they do, I don’t think Arlo will want to hear about that.

Sorry to be a spoiler – My wife majored in art at the college where we met. She told me about the nude models and the atmosphere in the class. After the first five minutes of a naked person in a room full of clothed people – it’s just another class. The models may be comfortable being nude and have six to 12 people staring and treating them like a bowl of fruit – but the models are often cold because the room temp is set for people wearing clothes who may be wearing sweats or sweaters because it’s fall or winter out there.

The most fun thing about going to a nude beach years ago wasn’t ogling the women, it was seeing the guys ogle my wife!

Decades ago a female bud of mine was in college. Playboy magazine used to an issue were they did “the Girls of the (insert sport conference here)”. Her friend wanted to “try out” for the photo shoot but didn’t want to go alone. She convinced my bud to come with her. Turned out the “talent scout” like my bud instead. She agreed to take part. Her father subscribed to Playboy & my friend said nothing……She told me that caused a special conversation.As part of participation she was able to get a high quality copy of her pose. She was wearing a bikini bottom & her back was to the camera & the bikini top was over her shoulder. She got the picture framed.After she got married & started having kids the picture was put away. After all the kids moved out the picture was returned to the wall. She was proud of how good she looked.I believe after she became a grandmother the picture was put away again…

Actually not near as exciting as you might think. Models in my class wore a body stocking and the models sat or stood up on a pedestal. Had to stay still for the entire period unless flash drawing was involved. Then the models could change positions every two to three minutes or whatever the instructor said. This was in the 70s.

In my college art class, we had a very muscular young (18+) athletic guy as a model. He posed in his gym shorts as the male art teacher said the school wouldn’t let him pose nude – though both myself and most of the students would have to have seen that and he wasn’t shy and was willing to do it. He did it to earn extra money for school. I don’t know if it got him any dates, if I wasn’t shy and it wasn’t the 80’s, I would have asked him myself but back then a guy asking out another man wasn’t so common.

Oh for pete sakes. As an art student, you’re so concentrating on the drawing and just trying to get it down before the model changes poses that you haven’t any time to think about lust. I hated figure drawing in art school, and as I recall, none of our models were exactly Playboy centerfold quality. And for the models, it was just another ho-hum job.

Got to love Arlo because I react in exactly the same way. When she is the love of your life there can only be joy in all the times of her life. And a little vicarious naughtiness is good for the imagination.
