Woven in a cocoon of silky threads as you are slowly consumed – alive. Or being quickly ripped apart and fed to the pups. Yah… the wolves do sound better!

Wolf spiders are great at keeping other spider populations down.Wolf spider moms carry their young around but will just look like a big fat spider, so I recommend putting them out (when the weather is warm) as if you try to hit them the young clinging to them will scatter. Even if you are largely cool with spiders, that can be a bit unnerving. You can find videos with a simple search, if you dare. :P

Unless the prehistoric ones were huge, wolf spiders are mostly harmless to people.

By the evidence of cobwebs, we obviously have spiders in the house, but rarely see them.

I have no idea what they eat as, other than an occasional house fly in the summer, we don’t see any other bugs either around the house or in the webs.

I’m very much OK with spiders and snakes and whatnot as long as they are outside the house.

Make friends with the wolves. Your progeny will breed and over-breed them to the point of absurdity. Pugs. Yorkies. etc. Lotsa fun.

Wolf spiders? Those things are maybe 1½" long, and will run like crazy from people.

I’m guessing since Queen Ida died 12/15/2018, the last tribute on 12/3/2019 (her birthday) noting her death was indeed the last tribute. I’m surprised only 2 people remembered. Long live the Queen & RIP.
