So, unfortunately for you, there will not be an opportunity to be the next press secretary for a Fat Orange Clown.

He’s applying to OAN, Newsmax, and Fox. And don’t forget Breitbart. So many options.

Was a time most newscasts were at least informative and fairly unbiased, except in their choices of which items to air. Now it appears the old network News at 6 is local, and Nightly News at 6:30 is national and both are kinda worth the half hour. Most other news programs seem to be axe grinding and very focused on aiding or defeating some candidate or issue . Many so-called commentators are elevated to the level of pundits and seers. They seem to believe their opinions for or against a candidate or a legislation in Congress or statehouse are more important than stating the actual facts and letting the public decide. The public, that mass of minds which the opinion gurus believe needs to be told what it thinks because it is incapable of finding the truth for itself. Seems media control by the 1% has taken its toll in the gradual destruction of the quality and accuracy of the news. Pity to waste such a tool for progress in petty ways.

The purpose of ‘freedom of the press’ in the 1st Amendment by our Founders was to inform and educate. The information and education were purposely left “FREE” so that varying opinions and views would be made. It is the job of WE, the People to make the effort to sort the truth from the lies, to separate the fly stuff from the pepper.

We had “fake news” when Adams and Jefferson ran against each other for president. It was vile and viscous as well. Today’s divide is not new nor unprecedented, as some try to sell us. We have always been a ‘Nation divided’ and that by design. In a Democratic Republic the majority governs. That means that there are winners and losers. The loser must support, not join, the government until they become the winner. You can count on one hand the number of times this Nation was not divided since our birth. It is supposed to be.

This Nation was Founded to be SELF GOVERNMENT. If all you want is to be spoon fed by a ‘news’ outlet then you’ll get the government you deserve.

The United States is NOT a democratic republic – It was founded as a Constitutional Republic based on laws and it remains so. There is a large and important difference between the two – a simple majority of people does not prevail since that would lead to chaos, as whoever currently had the most votes would get to decide what is right and wrong. Unfortunately, our almost useless educational system doesn’t teach this (the system is currently more useful as a baby sitter than providing a good education). I urge you to take a few minutes to research this and learn the truth.
