Yeah. Tea just lacks that gravitas!

How can you forget. You don’t wait for coffee to brew after you pour, also you do not smell the tea.

Good observation by Arlo. I hadn’t thought of that, but it’s true.

My microwave oven beeps and flashes “END” when it’s done. So whenever I have to reheat my tea/coffee I know that the “END” is nigh.

Coffee cups are forgotten all the time, even in front of you. You just get used to it. It’s different with tea, when you’re doing it because “you’re drinking too much caffeine”… when you find your lost coffee cup is like finding back your lost wallet, hitting the mother lode. Reheating a lost cup of tea is a drag, it’s not worth the effort to push the microwave button. Not to mention the increase on the utility bill :D

I’ve totally forgotten to drink my coffee, but I have pretty bad ADHD and forget pretty much everything. BTW, I often drink my tea with lime instead of lemon. It gives it a delightful zest.

    Too close to home, Arlo.

Now my Kombucha…I don’t forget. Learning to make it at the fourth month of lockdown is the accomplishment of my year. Saved about $200 so far.

I’ve forgotten my coffee many times. Beer, however, is another matter.

That’s because tea is an abomination. Come back to the light (roast) my brother.

I have gotten involved in reading and forgotten I had left a cup of coffee sitting in my Keurig along with leaving food because once I get involved in a book , I totally forget what is going on around me.

Coffee is served hot for morning caffeination. Tea is served cold for afternoon hydration.

In the early morning there are fewer distractions. This is the main reason my preferred method of communication is e-mail. It doesn’t need (scream) to be noticed or answered immediately. You have time to put some thought into a response. There’s an electronic trail with filing/organizing systems that you, and not the developer, get to design. So it’s less distracting.

It would have been funnier if Arlo had said: “Oh crap, my beer!”, but again, that doesn’t happen because that beverage is a later-in-the-day beverage when the distraction level has died down.

On a completely different note, I think this is the first time I’ve seen/heard Arlo use such strong language.

And then he’ll go off and leave it in the microwave to get cold again.

I firmly believe that if I drink enough coffee I’ll live forever. Or just be really, really caffeinated. Either way, I win.

    Language?!?!

Funny thing about coffee and tea, if you take cup of nice hot tea and start drinking it slowly, it will cool down of course. Eventually an ice cube will make ice tea. You can do the same with coffee.

However, tea will taste good all through that temperature drop, from hot to warm to room temp to tepid to cool to iced. Coffee on the other hand tastes good (GREAT!) hot, and also iced, but in that long continuum between the ends, it tastes pretty lousy. As I say, just a funny thing.

I forget both. However, tea tastes just fine when it cools down. I often brew a cup just so it can cool down. I like iced coffee, but not cold coffee.
