Why didn’t they just tell the boy that they’re giving the stuff away?

An 8-y-o kid might still be fine with the Santa thing; but clearly knows what stuff on the curb means … a fee-free yard sale.

My first apartment was filled with curb shopping. My style was early miscellaneous. Only new and unused item was my bed, because, cooties.

My first couch—4 cinder blocks with a board on top and some cushions. Curb shopping. Found a TV once. It sort of worked. Black and white mostly fuzzy.

It comes under the modern term recycling. Being furniture and household stuff, maybe some of it will actually find a practical use for some other family. The stuff in weekly bins is purported to be recycled and returned to use in other forms. Anybody see much of anything besides paper with a made from recycled materials sticker?

I wish more people would make the effort to take serviceable items to charities instead of just throwing them away.

Frazz18 hrs · All that hauling. I’m starting to wonder how Santa Claus can cut the figure he does. Then again, maybe what we’ve spent all this time thinking is adipose is really just half a dozen weightlifter belts under that red parka.
