Not a bad movie, we found out why HAL went off the deep end in 2001.

Good movie. But the part with John Lithgow hyperventilating like crazy drove me nuts!

Yup – and that 2001 thing never panned out, either.

OMFG {as the kids say!}, I actually watched ’’2010’’ last nite! Had an Xmas time discussion w/my dad about the artistic greatness of’’2001;A Space Odyssey’’ [he’d taken me& my brothers 2see it on its original or 2nd run in 1969] & so was curious 2re-watch ’’2010’’ b’c I KNOW I’d seen it sometime in my life but had no memories of it’s answers/ending. So I reserved a copy from my local library & made it my New Year’s Nite movie. I’ll just say this IMHO – great visuals & special effects but a bit melodramatic & very anti-climactic ending. That’s just me tho’!

Contact was made millenniums ago, it’s the return we should be thinking of.
