Maybe you could just put a jacket on, Nelson.

We thought about affording to heat our back yard… by getting a winter place where it was self-heating. In the end, we decided it was better not to spend money (and time) messing with the complexity of all that. So, yeah, outside deserve a jacket these days.

Nelson must have been “born in a barn.”

Of course but, that means giving up going to McDonalds for the rest of the year.

Reminds me of my dad telling my sister and brother the same thing.

I think I just figured out the cause of global warming.

“Yeah, but only if you and your mom pay for it!”

Roscoe must be out there! Muffin is probably on the bed!

“If you’re talking about building a bonfire in the back yard and tossing your toys in, then the answer is ‘yes’, Nelson.”

Our backyard isn’t much bigger than the house, but it’s leaky.

Nelson is as hard to deal with as Earl.

My spouse leaves the doors open then complains about the heating bill.

Ha! I heard that same phrase growing up countless times…

Nelson must be planning a career in the movies… they hardly ever close doors behind them

My grandkids are helping Nelson, have patience.

Wish I had a dollar for everytime my mother said that to me.

Nelson you are freezing your Grandma.

Keep it simple. Don’t engage in hyperbolic moral argument. Dock their allowance for “forgetfulness” that costs the family money.

My mom used to yell, “Shut the pneumonia hole!” & at first I misheard it as “shut the AMMONIA hole!” Made sense to my 4yo ears – who wants stinky old ammonia getting in the house? 8-)

Where’s Roscoe? He’s been absent for a few days now. I miss his eye-rolls.
