At first I thought it would be an old friend from his childhood pig pen.

I lived in Pencilvania for a year.

I had a pen pal until he came into money and started getting all uppity, Mont Blanc.

This was very funny. PBS always seems to tell my life story.

Does anyone (other than my own old-school, antiquarian, out-of-touch, archaic self) even write handwritten letters anymore? (And even if you do, do they get where they’re sent given the current state of the USPS?)

As a lefty – I have spent an embarrassing amount of time trying out different pens to find ones that I like. I TOTALLY have my favorites by now.

The upcoming strips of Rat storming the White House should be interesting. They were apparently written a month ago, but Pastis is as prophetic as always!

Pearls used to be funny and edgy. Now it’s just cutesy and simple-minded. Pastis either needs to go back to writing this strip for real, or just hang it up, and let a hungry new writer have his spot.
