If he retires, he’ll be hauled off to court. He’s not going to do that. If the 25th is invoked, he’ll probably flee the country. Pence is not likely to do that. Impeachment will happen after he is out of office, then he could all privilege’s provided to ex-presidents revoked. He might flee the country or he will face charges and jail time.

The vaccinations are going at a snail’s pace due to low supply. This needs to turn around soon. There are 3 states offering it first come first served, resulting in chaos. We have tools to make it orderly— such as an alphabet, numbers, a calendar, smart phones, computers, etc. but they aren’t being used to organize it. They could also go ahead and use what they have instead of reserving 2nd doses and work on using the defense production act to get additional supplies ASAP.

Just getting him out of office is not enough. He’s tried to incite a coup and his followers will still listen to his lies. He can’t roam free around the world and launch new social media platforms. He needs the Napoleon treatment, being held on an island in the middle of no where closely monitored and in isolation. Seeing as we probably can’t lease St Helena I think Guantanamo is the closest thing we’ve got to it.

Looking at a few comments here… Now it begins… The Orange One, his party, and his followers have basically burned down the country, so a new line…. “Can’t we just get past the idea that our problems are the fault of JUST ONE party.” Really! I’m a damned Democrat and therefore know better than anyone that Democrats aint perfect, but… Wait a minute. There’s another one… “Let’s all just put the election behind us and work together.” That said, I guess these are better than this one: “I put up with Obama for eight years and said nothing. And then watched Dems do everything they could to prove Trump’s election wasn’t legitimate. So don’t expect me to be nice now!” Hold on. There’s another: “Everyone in the Capitol was an Antifa member!” Seriously, we all fool ourselves, but the ability of Trump’s supporters to deny objective reality is really frightening. Consider Trump’s management of the crisis caused by the virus. Guess the psychologists would say that once he decided it was a hoax there was for all intents and purposes no crisis to manage. Last Wednesday night, when the riots in DC were winding down, a friend of mine on FB threw out one of those manufactured exposes that purports to prove that Antifa members were behind all of the bad stuff. I, with much diplomacy, countered with a link that proved he had dealt fake news. He replied thusly: “You need to stop drinking the Koolaid.” I think we’re doomed.

Could someone please explain to me why, instead of whining about the 25th amendment and impeachment, the police did not just arrest him on the spot for inciting a riot and sedition? A day in jail would have been a good photo op. Also why would any Maga still believe in him when he said he would lead the march and instead left the march. Straight forward betrayal of his followers. Also why didn’t they pick up Rudy and Jr.? Neither of them have presidential teflon. Why are they not in jail right now?

I think, deep down, that The Donald would like to have been a stand up comic with an adoring audience. A Vaudevillian or at the summer Catskills circuit of yore for example. The problem is he has NO sense of humor, only an awkward body language, gestures, goofy smiles and smirks. There wouldn’t have been enough money in it as well; and wealth, or at least the appearance of wealth, has always been the paramount requirement for his self image.

Sleep Joe is earning that derisive label if he does not wake up. He is doing what some of us feared by talking about unity and moving forward and by not backing impeachment with conviction. It’s playing into the hands of the American Nazi Movement.

I had to hold my nose out of necessity to vote Democratic last November which was the first time in 28 years to vote for either major party candidate. In 2022 and 2024 I can abstain again or find a “liberal” GOOPer. Ignore the very numerous middle-of-the-road middle class fairness-for-all demographic again Dems and you get sent back to wandering the meaningless existence of the minority.

The other actions that have to be taken is to expel the Dirty Seven Senators who supported the objections to certification AFTER the insurrection, AND to censure every house member who did the same. If that did not send a message to anyone wanting to overthrow our Democracy by supporting insurrectionists and nullifying the most secure and fair election in US history then I do not know what would.

[Senators have longer terms and are supposed to be held to a higher standard. House members are powerless to deny the submitted state certifications without a Senator.]

Sometimes all that it takes for a good nation to fall to dictatorship is not complicit agreement but complacent silence. It does not matter if that silence is from fear caused by intimidation because once authoritarians win then the fear will truly be far greater.

Li’l Donnie is, as a matter of objective reality, a sociopath with no conscience. Forget 350,000 deaths (the number he himself is responsible for, because of his imbecility, dishonesty, cowardice, and insanity, is over 300,000). Li’l Donnie wouldn’t have cared if ten or twenty MILLION people had died, if that had helped him to win the election. And, for Trump fluffers, that would be ten or twenty million WHITE folks—for Trump, it wouldn’t have mattered the tenth part of a damn.

General Milley has found it necessary to reassure Congress of the military’s political neutrality. The support for Trump is among the enlisted ranks- the least educated in uniform.
