Well, I don’t want you to keep mine FOR me, but you can keep it WITH me. Mine is to make sure I read more Stephen King and Joe Hill books. I always make this one and try to read at least three of each per year. You can read them too! We can cuddle up on a bed together to do it!
I still say we are lucky those 2 didn’t breed. We still have some nice crunchy snow around town, unusual for it to last. Some neighbors – and my cats – are grumbling, but it’s magical to me. And a hopeful start for the new year, as we have more storms predicted next week after months and months of drought. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
The one sure-fire way to kill someone else’s resolution is to mention it. Human nature being what it is, it dissolves the resolve. The “quit smoking” one is the worst. I used to study hypnosis. It is actually easier to get people to give up heroin than cigarettes.
My current Furry-Purrer, Misty had a trip to the vet this afternoon as I’d been a bit concerned about her, I thought she had a cold but it has hung around for about three weeks now and her breathing is audible (Sounds like she’s snoring most of the time). Had a load of blood tests done, she’s got Cat Flu :-( She’s thirteen, I’ve had her seven years and I’ve no info on her earlier history, so it’s possible that she caught it when she was a kitten and it’s resurfaced as these things do. One clue is her left eye is weeping quite badly, and it has done it off and on since I’ve had her. It cleared up last year and had been clear until about three weeks ago. She’s had a steriod jab and I’ve got some medication for her to help with the congestion, and if she’s no better next week I’ll take her back to the vet and they’ll do some further tests.
Chesney should resolve to stay away from Lily as much as possible. On another note, saw a nuthatch while out walking today. I also saw a varied thrush outside. Looking forward to 2020 ending (it’s been quite a problematic year, to say the least) and 2021 beginning. (No guarantee if it will be a better year, but hopefully, it will be a huge improvement over 2020.) Happy New Year, everyone!)
