Trump and his sycophants are speed bumps on the road to Democracy. I do think that there are A FEW actual Republicans out there, but they are stymied by all of the republicans in the mix.
Giving them credit for overriding a veto on a bill that pays billions to defense industry but won’t do a damn thing for Americans in need is very…ummm…trying to find the right word that won’t be censored.
Most Republican elected officials never had any respect for Trump, but they are scared s—-less of losing the votes of his disciples and will be for the foreseeable future. Citizens losing their jobs, homes and lives don’t matter to them; losing votes is all important.
Too soon to think this is accurate. tRump remains the GOP mahout, sitting astride the head of the elephant party, using the stick in his hand to steer it and control it almost totally as he desires.
The question is whether he will still occupy that position prior to and throughout the 2024 presidential election cycle.
They are NOT trying to quash him. Rather, they are trying to glorify him and still doing his bidding. It will take a long time for the satin of trump to leave them. The ‘base’ they fostered will see to that.

Cute but inaccurate. He’s stuck to the bottom of one of those feet. And it SMELLS that way too.

The GOP should have turned their back on Trump long ago and not looked back. A real profile in courage at this late date . . .for a very few.

The House has overridden the veto but the Senate has yet to vote on the override. Tentatively scheduled for today but who knows.

I’m not convinced. They seem to be letting him hang on to his tail and pull him through all the poop.

Pul-ease! Senate Repugnants were backed into a corner after Speaker Pelosi made sure the House passed the override.
Otherwise Moscow Mitch would be dragging his feet while simpering about never voting on anything without Lumpy’s approval.
