I often feel that way in the morning, since I have mostly retired. But the bladder calls, the cats want skritches, the dog barks for breakfast. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I think this is a repeat comic. Is Pastis on vacation?

Are we still waiting for the riot comics to be over? Nice sentiment , though I had once say she tried to eat a toad first thing every morning. Then nothing worse could happen all day, to her or the toad!

I’ve reordered my life in retirement. I go to bed when I’m good & ready, get in 8 hours most days, and then arise at the crack of noon. The cats have an automatic feeder and otherwise have an innate appreciation of respect for sleep. If it wasn’t for the necessity of cleaning their box and my afternoon trip to the john…

…until your back gives you trouble.

The sad thing is, I wouldn’t have been surprised if this was a “new” comic. There has to be at least three “Pig stays in bed because the world is scary and bad” strips and variations thereof.

Get Goat to get them nachos, the TV remote and two funnels

A bag of cheetos and guzzunder, and you’re all set – for a time, anyway. One will empty, and the other need to be emptied at some point. But in the meantime, no worries – am I right?

If I didn’t have a wellness check to share with my elderly cousin, I’d have stayed in bed, too, on this cold and dreary day.

Due to the pandemic, my dreams are where I see friends and family and have adventures! (SIGH)

HAPPY BOBBY BURNS DAY, ALL!

But I had to get up today. I got my second vaccine! Tomorrow I will stay in as long as my dog lets me. We like to lie in bed for a while, not just jump up. I had to rise to an alarm clock for so very many years. I really enjoy that early morning awake time without having to jump and get everyone fed and taken care of. Plus the drive to work in all kinds of weather. Actually, my dog waits for me. I guess that was a flashback to my former pets who insisted eventually that I get up NOW.

Rat will soon notice the absence of beer.

Sometimes Pig seems to be smarter than the average Pig, if you catch my drift.

This has always been my experience.

This exact strip was printed in my paper over a year ago. I’ve had it on the refrigerator since before the pandemic began. I thought maybe my paper had reprinted it because his strip had something offensive in it that day, but nope, it’s this exact strip.
