GoComics comments is the closest I get to social media…

Seems to me the term herd immunity can be repurposed to indicate one who resists being part of a herd in order to maintain one’s own identity and beliefs.

So, consider yourself lucky, Bud. If as they say, the medium is the message, then as soon as one joins up, the message becomes you’re no longer an individual because you have just become just one more of the herd.

Would a poison pill suffice?….

Get off of social media and you won’t have to worry about petty stuff like that. And you’ll save a lot of money not having to pay for counseling.

i remain perplexed by the commenter here who apparently took offense when i clicked like a couple minutes after he’d commented – it was purely serendipity that i happened to read the comment at that point, but for whatever bizarre reason he appeared to consider it malevolent…
