This one got a real chuckle out of me.

Just to get out of my system, but I thought Minnie Mouse was also banned from Finland for not wearing a blouse.

It depends on where you wear the tie.

Porky Pig had the same problem!

Earl should have gone into that restaurant wearing only a tie!

Earl did get Clyde’s attention there for a moment.

Urban legends, but in the 1920s one Disney short was banned in Germany because an army of cats were depicted wearing military helmets from the 19th century. This was seen as disrespectful to their “glorious” military history.

Tweety Bird was a baby bird and was painted pink until somebody noticed he looked naked, then they painted him yellow and called him a canary.

I had a friend who could have been Hunter S. Thompson’s brother ( and maybe was, for all I know ). He challenged a particular snooty beach restaurant in Florida about their No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service policy by entering wearing a shirt and shoes but nothing else!

Back in the 70’s during the disco craze I once hung my pants up at the coat check and danced in a red speedo bathing suit. I worse a red short sleeve sport shirt with that. I danced like that for some time before the manager came over to me and actually apologized for asking me to put my pants back on. There had been some complaints apparently. I was in my 20’s and looked like a teen. I had the body for it. But if I was to try that today everyone would be traumatized and scarred for life! LOL

And Pluto was banned because…well…just because. I mean, Pluto!

Mickey Mouse in film was once banned in Romania because the authorities thought he would scare small children.

If a restaurant insisted on a tie, I’d know , it wasn’t my kinda joint.

Looking forward to going out today. Indoor seating at 25% capacity, groups of the same household, now allowed, never mind No Shirt o Shoes, just No Mask No Service.

Well, except for removing the mask to fill the ol’ pie hole.

There was a time when women were not allowed in restaurants if they wore dress slacks.

That said, the signs on restaurants and stores read “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service” and don’t mention pants at all, so I guess they don’t care if you don’t wear pants.

What would Clyde do without Earl for daily amusement.

Yep, also banned from a restaurant for no suit jacket and tie. I heard the 2008 market crash almost got them, but that Covid finished them off. The fickle finger of fate.

A Maori Member of Parliament was recently ejected from a New Zealand Parliament session for not wearing a necktie. The resultant outrage has resulted in the archaic policy being repealed. It was not only “colonialist” but also “sexist”, as it had only applied to male MPs.

He was also banned in several South and Central American countries for the blatant colonialism in the comic books.

My family when our kids was younger went to a McD’s, sign is posted no shirt, shoes not service. When we walked in there was a couple sitting the young lady was dressed fairly nice and eating her food, the man sitting next to her at least he had shorts on, One of the worker’s tried to tell him he have to leave and he ignored, husband then was not wanting involved, I was planning to get management, when a customer got hold of management and then told the man he had to leave not following dress code, then he left.

Odd that when Donald Duck gets out of the shower, he wraps a towel around his lower half. Then puts on his vest, with no pants. Weird.

The comic is self aware that the 4th panel ruins the joke- which begs the question as to why the fourth panel is even there.

So Donald Duck was Porky Pigging it?
