I LOVE black cats. And white cats and ginger cats and tabby cats and calico cats and tortoise shell catsand Siamese cats and tuxedo cats and buff colored cats and purple cats (oops – got carried away there! But if there were purple cats, I’d love them!)
National Carrot Cake Day. Carrot cake is my nephew Jake’s favorite cake. I like it okay, but I like chocolate, white or angel food cake a lot more.
National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The girl’s volleyball team in my old high school is usually very good -often making it to the state championship games.
When I lost my Scarlett two years ago, I went looking for a black cat. Of course, once you look on-line, they describe (her) as black. She’s actually dark grey, and the vet describes her as blue. I love her anyway.
I’ve been putting up videos of birds and critters for Moose to watch on the computer so now he sits up here just waiting. I feel like he’s telling me to hurry up be finished with my stuff so he can watch his channel. He’s sitting here right now, just waiting.
I believe black cats got a bad rap from being tripped over all the time and their reaction to such awkwardness. Plus, solid black cats look alike. If one is messing with you, you assume every black cat you see is that same cat.

Black cats rule! All of the black cats I’ve known have been nice and friendly. On another note, saw a raven, a sparrow, a varied thrush, and five juncos while out walking today. I also saw a squirrel outside on the deck.
