Is this some science fiction time loop? If softball was first PLAYED in 1996, then explain how can I have memories of playing on my team softball in my school yard in 1965 to 1969??

Jeopardy likes to cover all the bases.

sounds painful unless you meant something else. balls hurt with enough speed add to it.

One of the few truly interesting shows of its type. Informative with good presentation and without the hype, screaming, and silliness of many others. Trebec had a strong influence on its format. I hope it continues for many more years.

It’s the first round of Jeopardy. The hardball questions come later.

There were and are softball questions on Jeopardy. They also occasionally “shilled” for Stations/TV Shows/etc., but not often, and it was easy to forgive them, because, well, Alex… ☺

Jeopardy isn’t very challenging as they give you all the answers.

Baseballs are thrown overhand; softballs are thrown underhand. The top women softball pitchers can throw that bigger ball faster than the top male baseball pitchers can throw the little hard one.

I’ve noticed that when Jeopardy categories cover things I know, the questions sound easy… but if it’s something outside my areas of interest, I’m amazed that anyone knows the answer.

I always enjoy the Stupid Answers category. They can get very creative with the clues!
