An easy solution would be to have a box of (disposable) masks in every car you drive!!

Even worse is forgetting your mask when you enter the grocery store and having to sprint out to the car in embarrassment to get it.

I keep two masks in the car for when I forget. I make sure I keep them in the car.

I have masks like I have glasses. One for each room in the house (except bathrooms) and one in every car. I go so few places that I have to remember to wash the ones in the cars – I put them on a schedule.

Not a problem in the winter. I need a neck warmer whenever I leave the house.

The kitchen counter near food is a bad place to leave a possibly contaminated mask.

Adjustments can be easy or difficult. Living with ’em is a whole other problem.

Clip your keys to it when you walk in the door.

I keep mine in my pants pocket. Right there every time I need it. Custom made hand sewn by a really good friend. Triple mesh washable.

Another way to get in a few extra steps, I take a bag with me to pick up litter when I go for a walk.

I’ve got several cloth ones tucked around in places I frequent, as well as in my knapsack. Lately I’ve been using disposable ones for a second layer… re-use them if it’s just been a short use. This tends to lead to masks lying all around lately.

FYI – the FDA just approved a sterilizer previously approved for CPAP masks for use with N95 masks. It costs about $300, so it’s more of a saving for institutions. However, the FDA does recommend that the mask FIRST be put in a “breathable bag” (like a paper bag rather than plastic) for seven days before putting it in the sterilizer. Removes odors, too. Sterilization only takes ten minutes.
