I already had one of those. We bought a couch at the Montgomery Ward outlet. Toshie shredded it. Bought another couch at a furniture store…she never touched it. Just what was on or in the first one?

You couch shredders need a union!

BBear, we miss you and hope you are in recovery.

Twig has shredded my computer chair down to bare wood. There is enough left on the back and seat for it still to be comfortable. Sometimes I wish I had her declawed when I had her spayed. She’s a little pisser and I would be shredded if I tried to cut her nails.

I don’t need a couch shredder. I already have several of them. I never buy new couches – I get used ones because they cost less and I’m not out as much when the cats shred them. I don’t believe in declawing cats, so I accept the shredded furniture. I keep my recliner and my couch covered so nobody can see how shredded they are. The covers are also good for easier cleanup if a cat barfs or sheds on the furniture.

Bucky is going for x-rays tomorrow morning. Last November he wasn’t putting any weight on his right front leg, and the vet thought that it might be a problem with his left shoulder (referred pain). It cleared up, but a week or so ago he wasn’t putting weight on it again, and our vet thought it wise to arrange x-rays. He’s better now, but still walking a bit short and he holds the leg up when he sits. We gave him anti-inflammatory stuff in his food for a few days and it did help.

Like everyone else, sure miss your posts, Bbear. Praying for your recovery.

I know some cats who would be quite good at that job. Love them, anyway. (Hey, nobody’s perfect.) On another note, saw two wrens while out walking today.
