    If it’s a bathroom sink, the drain is probably held together with dried up plumber’s putty. You wouldn’t want to use a plunger on that without being prepared to replace all the putty, or at least clear out the stuff under the sink.

    You can use a plunger to clear a bathroom sink. Just remember to plug the overflow hole while doing it.
