Success at last ! Pouch will make his exit and never even know that Tiger Lilly is on the property. He will be gone shortly before Tracy, Sam and Ms. Han show up. Aquarius will come back but see the official vehicle and stay out of sight.

Quick, Pouch! Sneak out the back and hide in the root cellar. Psst, Tiger, someone’s coming! Hide behind the door and hit him over the head when he comes in.
Pouch, I told you there were a lot of rooms in that place! Anyway, he finally got his balloon back, but the police are approaching. They might have him cornered because he’s upstairs and they’ll shortly be coming up to the front door where he entered.
Be sure to check yesterday’s post that I forgot to make until a few minutes ago. It’s integral to the moving the plot forward. And if you believe that, I’ll need you to contact me ASAP about swamp front property opportunities in Florida
1-MEL: I love rummaging around these old houses when I’m looking for a gas leak. DANG IT! FOCUS! I’M NOT A GAS MAN ANYMORE. FIND THE BALLOON!
2-…VOILA! AHA! PRESTO CHANGE-O! EUREKA!
3-…I’ve found you my precious. BALLOON: PFFFFTTTTTT! MEL: Why I oughta!
What a lot of interesting plot lines in this story. All we need now is the balloon to go to the Apperatus or prehaps a recently released Fish Face. Cool story.
By the way, for those who remember the appearances of Dethany from “On The Fastrack” in this strip, the first of a projected line of new Dethany graphic novels for children 9-12 years old was announced in the strip recently, and is listed on Amazon for a April 27 release date https://www.amazon.com/Dethany-Other-Clique-Bill-Holbrook/dp/1613452047/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Dethany&qid=1615043541&s=books&sr=1-2
It would be nice for Tracy to get Honeymoon a copy of this graphic novel as he did with Dethany’s mystery noir e-book several years back :)
Pouch (momentarily) victorious! Any chance tomorrow will follow on from this crucial development, or will we suddenly find ourselves spending a quaint Sunday morn at Sunny Dell Acres?
One way or the other, this looks like the end of the line for Pouch. In a way it’s too bad, I kind of liked him as a recurring character, & he always provided a Gouldian touch to the contemporary strip.
Well, at last! Pouch has found the Famous Blue Balloon, in the bedroom where it had been tethered, but sadly deflated (which prompts me to wonder if one the things Alex had to get out for was to purchase some more Little Blue Pills—gotta keep Cheesecake happy). But it looks as though Pouch’s joy will be short-lived….

The cops arrive and… tomorrow we’ll probably see Oscar, Peggy and Cokecake, without a hint of this.

At least this story arc ran longer, and was more suspenseful than the Yeti story.

Pouch has undeniable feline features in Panel 3. The only thing to decide is if he’s an adorable kitty or a ferocious lion.

Geez,Neil really needs a job. Now he’s talking to cartoons, but his analysis runs deep. BTW, what happened to the gas?

I wonder why he is deflating it? Message inside? I know it is code.
