One benefit to us oldsters has been that we have found a number of new and interesting places to order phone-in/pick-up meals. As we don’t go out much anyway, we. might not have tried them, but the pandemic has us looking for things that will brighten the mood. Most have been very good. Only one or two proved hardly worth the trip, which would be about average in earlier times. But, it proved to be a good change in what had become a very gray time. We’ll remember them for later.
Here in the South it’s been so warm (too warm), that outdoor dining is a pleasure. Unless the restaurant is right on a busy road, I prefer al fresco any time!

Time to break out the summer masks, and the girls will be wearing string masks at the beach…

“Fighting Pigeons in the Dark.” That might have been a Tom Lehrer song. I guess that’s a poisonous remark!

Around here, the city close some downtown streets at dinner time and call the area “The Streetery.”

I always ate outdoors, when possible, even before the pandemic. Of course, I live in a town where an ocean view is an option.
