Someday they will put a button on the TV so you only have to get up once to press it and start a locator beep on the remote. Could link it to the cell phone too for those who don’t want to over exert themselves walking to the TV and then realize that they were sitting on it.
When we were kids I was the designated person to change channels, hold the antennae to keep the picture good for my dad and I on Sunday’s when we watched football, basketball and hockey games. A real pain when we had bad weather and wind and the antennae went wacky and having to hold the antennae so the picture didn’t go in and out.
My last tv had an app for my phone which mimicked my remote. Since most of us are rarely more than a few feet from our phone then I didn’t have to get up and look. (OK – done with serious comments for today)
We had an old floor model TV that we kept (because it was pretty) in the basement. When we had a party, we would set the party food on it like a buffet. It was that large. Was a great conversation piece for the younger crowd.

Has Michael already looked for it? If not, why should Gabby?

It’s a tough life.

I remember having a 19" ‘Portable’ TV that weighed about 50 lbs. It did come with a handle.

I would say that at least with the old tvs you couldn’t lose the knob for changing channels, but I do remember having a TV with a missing knob
Had to use a little pair of needle nose pliers to change the channel

My absolute all time favorite of the “promises” made about technology was that we would have a paperless workplace. . . .HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

At least on the older TVs with remotes, you didn’t need the remote just to turn the blasted thing on or off.

There was a time when the remote was attached to the TV with a wire. Didn’t lose too many remotes but tripping took down the odd user.
