I’ve seen a suggestion that “And he was, like, no way, José!” is an exact statement of fact: The speaker is saying that he did something LIKE say the reported phrase.
As for Earl’s number of questions, MY first question is: “Why is he counting?” PS: When I’m writing I fairly often start with “TWO hings: … 1; 2; 3.” then I back up and change that TWO to THREE.
It’s like, y’know, Earl, Nelson goes “what” and you’re like whoa, and Nelson says “dude” and you’re like what? and Nelson goes “say what” and you’re like WTF and Nelsons like “OMG” and your’e like jeez and …………….
This is even more that even I could ask for the precious Roscoe in todays comic . A special nod goes for the silhouette in the fifth frame , BIG TIME there , and in frame two he is just walking along and the TOP ! One for today is the last frame with Roscoes with his rear paw in motion scratching his back . Thanks to Brian , you out did yourself today . The Best Easter to you and your family today . And to those who do not like what I just comment on I pray that Joe Bidens dog Major comes to see you . : )
I hear this all the time, “I was like and he was like and then I was like” with also acting out the encounter. It is never I said so and so and he replied,
I think Earl missed the most important questions for him these days, based on his history: “What’s for dinner?” That may be the only question, other than “When is dinner?”
