I’ve had a similar problem. Hugged a dog only for my arm to get trapped under it.

I’d say that Marigold doesn’t have to worry about scratches if she gets up, but you can’t be sure with Phoebe sometimes.

Phoebe’s mom couldn’t possibly ruin a moment like this.

Reminds me of this legend about Muhammad cutting off his sleeve to not disturb a sleeping cat. This one could be a little more awkward.

Anyone who has ever been owned by a pet can sympathize, Mr. Howell.

Have you noticed how they never refer to the cat with a name?

Phoebe’s dad is just one of those men who’d find any excuse to get out of helping around the house. Just ask Dagwood Bumstead.

You’re not a true pet owner until you’ve faced this problem at least once at some point…and usually it’s never stays at “once” anyway. ;)

This strip reminds me of why I often wish the title was “Marigold and her Human”.

Yeah, but Marigold is quadrupedal. She could get up and walk away without disturbing Phoebe.

How nice. Marigold doesn’t normally indicate that she finds Phoebe cute.

Lap kitties are all right, my goes to the next step and likes to lay on my arm while I am trying to use the mouse to play computer games.

Feline paralysis is real. So, apparently, is Phoebine paralysis.
