Makes sense, actually.

Man, I don’t know what I’d do if I had to pay rent at this stage of life. I’m sure I’d be homeless, because if I had to rent this place from somebody, it would be 200% of my income. And I’m not in no mansion, either.

I admit i’m antisocial. Always have been.

Sounds like SF. We were lucky to own a home there. Sold it to move to SoCal, where the cost of living is workable.

After looking at the cost of independent or assisted living, decided to remain in my home … steps and all!
