3D print a remote holster and clip it to the side or top of the TV. Then the dog can’t chew it up. Not that my dog has chewed up four remotes, or anything.
The secret to that is, buy a second remote & you are responsible for your own. We always get 2 , mainly because hubby is handicap & it makes life easier.

A lot of people do Ben. However, like you we put ours on our tables that are next to our chairs so we can pause when we get up to get something.

It makes a little more sense now than it did years ago, when TVs had buttons.

It’s not possible anymore to do that just about all TVs are flatscreen nowadays plus the top is hard to reach they are way up like a fancy painting

Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a remote, if you have to go to the TV to use it…

I used Velcro-brand strips to attach the remote to the TV. It worked for me.

If I tried to balance the remote on the TV’s narrow top edge it would fall down behind it making it even harder to find.

The whole point of a remote is just that, so you don’t have to go to the TV to control it. Silly to put it on the set.

I have one of those couches with a center piece that has cup holders. That’s where I keep my remote ~ very convenient.

Living alone I don’t have to worry about gremlins hiding my remote.

Who does it? I used to.

He’s correct. The whole point of the remote is to make it possible to completely avoid physically going to the television.

My flatscreen TV has buttons, somewhere on the screen bezel, but I can never find them.

The remote is always on the couch by me.
