Up in The Great White North, we have a bug called the moose fly, about the size of a large cockroach. It was interesting when the first one landed on my arm and sat there for several seconds. Then its large beak began to open, very slowly. Then from inside the beak, again very slowly, a huge stinger began to emerge. Then it was time to kill it.
Please, Mr. Davis, give Jon his intelligence from the early strips back. I mean sure Jon was a little loopy as well in the early strips, but not as loopy as he is now.
I got stung by a wasp once. Wasn’t even bothering its nest or anything. I was just outside one day bending down to do something, when it felt like someone poked me hard in the shoulder. Next thing I know, that same someone had taken a lit cigarette and pressed it in the same spot and would not let up. Not a fun feeling, let me tell you.

I’m glad that I just bought a couple of wasp traps the other day and have them all set up. Haven’t put out the bug zapper yet though.

I’ve never felt it when an insect has stung me, but I definitely felt it when I was bitten by fire ants.

When it comes to nature, Jon should just look and not touch, ever.
