Keeping students six feet apart was much easier until everyone lost their fear of covid and sent ALL their kids back to school. In January I had six to twelve students to a class and had no problem keeping kids safe and apart. Now I have 20 to 25 and it is impossible.
Kids know when we are serious and doing it right. And they know when we’re faking it. And if we don’t care enough to do it right, if all we’re going to do is fake it, why should they care?
Nephew graduated from high school. His father, who resides in a different state, asked him to help with a small carpentry project when he visited. It was then understood that his son could not read the measurements using a ruler.

Kids feet are so much shorter than adults.. little wonder they are confused about distance.
