Tiny boo boo by Schulz in today’s strip: the first panel has Snoopy using a speech balloon, making it appear that he’s talking out loud (which, obviously, Snoopy can’t do). The other three panels use the correct “thought bubbles.”

In the 60s, audiovisual teaching aids really took off. My teachers showed countless “nature” documentaries, usually sponsored by Shell or some agricultural pesticide company. This was their basic message, along with “nature renews itself”. Yes, it does, if the cycle is respected. If you take out way more than you allow nature to renew, you get what we have now.

And if Beagles don’t recognize and respect their role as a part of nature it will cost them in times to come.
