I’m careful not to leave any sugar out where the ants can find it. Either in zip lock bags (I buy sugar cube boxes), or in the fridge. No ant problems since doing that. They can smell it a long distance away.

Years ago, while visiting my mother, I noticed she had an ant problem. I went digging and found old Christmas candy canes in a kitchen cabinet….they were half melted from age and swarming with ants.

But he learned something interesting so it’s a trade that benefitted both sides.

Strange ant colony? In the real world the Queen would just be cared for and lay eggs. She would have a class of worker ants to gather food.

Apparently the nature documentaries before Common Era were highly inaccurate and even fooled the bees.
