This is a reference point for people who like to read about and discuss the history of Gasoline Alley to allow them to put their comments in replies. Those who don’t can bypass the discussion by leaving the replies closed. Fair for everyone, I think.
You’d never know that Clovia just turned 72 years old. Is there a reason her and Slim are drawn to look a good 40 years younger than their actual ages?
“I’m probably the complainant you’re referring to, although my issue was having to wade through multiple links to old strips to read comments on the current one (which Brian has nicely solved).”
I can turn on the news to get mad about something real.
I like when solutions are found that work for everybody …. well, most of us anyway.
I turn on the comics to have fun and and watching some animated and educated arguments is part of it and even comes with built in comedy.
She thinks her advice is the Constitution / But if she would leave, that would be the solution / And don’t come back no more / Mother-in-law, mother-in-law…

I thought an argument was bigger than a fuss.

Whoa, when was the last time we saw Nina?
Considering she graduated in the same High School class that Skeezix did, there’s an excellent chance that this coming Friday is *her 100th birthday.
Possibly a sly acknowledgement by Jim?

Good morning, angry birds !
The fur is about to fly, with relish.

So…. is the bigger punishment for Slim that Clovia would stay at home or that she go visit her mom and be away? :)
In life, choices occur, or are foisted upon you.

Will Clovia and Slim get divorced in the next few weeks? Stay tuned…

Pipe Tobacco – Unca $scrooge : I think you’re misreading the strip. Nina is going to come and stay with Clovia, not the other way around.
