I dunno. When I manage to shrink my personal bag o’ dumbness, I always notice that it’s re-inflated no more than a few days later. I think it self-regenerates.
I believe the original quote was " scientist have discovered signs of intelligent life (something like) in far away space, isn’t to bad they had to look so far away." By Alfred E Nueman
Dumbness is already being sent into outer space. The problem is that satellites return it to earth and racists tune into it when watching Hannity, Tucker C, and the like.
Here’s the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buqtdpuZxvk . I used to use this with astronomy students in my planetarium, adding full-dome visual sequences to match different parts of the song. It turned out very entertaining.

Mallet seems to also be referencing March of the Morons. I don’t think that one ended so well, however.

All we sent to space is hardware. The intelligence is still here. We just hear of so much stupidity because it supports the media better.
Schedule naked mud wrestling opposed to an update on the vehicle bringing a sample back from an asteroid; and see which one sets a viewer record.

There’s not enough space for our stupidity. Stupidity expands to fill the available space.

I take it the censors wouldn’t let you quote MP accurately: “Because there’s bugger-all down here on Earth” One of their greatest sketches, that one.

Intelligence is an ability to use knowledge. It modifies any personality. What you think of as intelligence isn’t what it is.
