As a child there was a monster under the bed but we had an agreement. I couldn’t hang my feet or arms over the bed’s edge without it getting them. On the other hand, I I had to go to the bathroom, it was truce time. I actually felt comfortable that it was living under the bed. It was sort of comforting knowing that someone or thing was there and I was not alone.
I don’t think he will even find a spider under the bed to scare the substitute bed monster. The spider had to go to a new web site. So the monster is ‘home free’.
Here’s a very short creepypasta about a monster under a child’s bed: "I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.” (http://www.creepypasta.org/creepypasta/whos-in-my-bed)
When I was a six years old girl, at night time I was afraid of dead people. I don’t know why. My father told me: “If someone grabs you and harms you, you can bet they are alive”. He was simple, clear and convincing, and I stopped being afraid. Too bad that’s the only nice thing I remember about my otherwise neglectful father.
We used to have a cute picture book at our library NO SUCH THING, about a boy afraid of the monster under the bed. His mommy insisted that there were no monsters. Meanwhile, the monster under the bed was terrified of the kid above, and his mommy insisted that there were no such things as kids. The ending is charming and funny.

An interesting portal into the family life of under the bed monsters. Are these real under the bed monsters, or actors portraying them?

And, much like closets, there are no monsters in there; just clothing…trying to murder you…

I bet I’d be pretty scared if my bed were suddenly picked up like that.

We are ALL like that the first day on the job. ( In my longest-lasting job (laundry truck diver -28 years) , my first stop was a slaughterhouse!)
