In the spring of 1912 a man approached by Grandfather, then a beat cop. He wanted to be arrested for something he did years before…what it was or where it had happened he refused to say. My grandfather arrested him. A few days later that guy appeared before a judge. He refused to give his name, what his crime was or where it had happened. Judge was was 30 days enough. The man said yes…bang….30 days in jail….

Don’t know if parole eligibility is the same everywhere in Canada and the US, but if it’s one-third the time, is she hinting a 15-30 year sentence?

The way Gascon is going, he’ll be free to commit a dozen more crimes before the original victims even know what happened.

If this is pre-trial, perhaps the judge should remember the possibility of acquittal.
