Mom and Dad already have you predestined for something, CALVIN!

Maybe that would be nice…..6 years old forever.

Calvin might as well start a club against parents.

Offsprings – that permanent entanglement that star-crossed lovers eventually produce.

I hate to tell you this, little warrior, but when you become an adult it’s the same deal with others telling you what to do, how to do it and when to do it.;/

Mom and Dad are right!

If we could really do what we want, most of us would have different lives.

The Stars?, not unless one falls on you….

You have no one to blame but youself, ‘Calvin’. Especially not "Hobbes’ since he ONLY comes ‘alive’ in YOUR imagination

The fault, dear Calvin, is not in our stars but in ourselves. We are underlings

Once you start paying your own way, Calvin, you have fewer people telling you what to do.

Especially when you ask to go to movies that are more for adults (see yesterday’s C&H)…

If Calvin is Hamlet, then Hobbes must be Horatio.

I think that spiritually people get dumber as they get older.

Are they standing in snow? It’s Mid June, where do they live?

There is no free will in classical (Newtonian) mechanics. However, quantum mechanics introduces uncertainty.

Calvin actually has a fair amount of freedom. Today he and Hobbes are out looking at a crescent Moon with the lighted portion facing left (and a bit down), implying the time is somewhere around 5-6 a.m., plus-or-minus an hour or so, so he should probably still be in bed… What?! You’ve forgotten all you learned in Introductory Astronomy already?!

Believing in stars will build character.

Everything we do is by choice, OUR choice. Many people grumble about the options, but those are set by each of us. For example you don’t have to eat but most of us prefer to live so we eat.

What happened to summer and fall?

Apparently (according to the 1st episode of loki) we are controlled by the time keepers and they make sure everything happens the way it’s supposed to.

To slightly paraphrase Mick Jagger: “You can’t always do what you want”.

Calvin will discover sooner or later that destiny happens whether you plan it or not.
