I’m not sure about the physics of this thing.

Two contrasting strategies at play. Calvin’s essentially defensive posture versus Hobbes’s all-out frontal assault, win-or-die-trying offensive maneuver.

Hobbes is about five bowling balls weight short of launching that thing.

I don’t think ‘Hobbes’ wants this snowball fight to last too long—one massive blow to take ‘Calvin’ out, then back inside where it is warm ! ! ! !

Now how is Hobbes going to jump hard enough for that snow?I know old strip, wished we was getting little of that cool weather today 100° today.Then we found out yesterday big home heating company has to go get approved due from February bitter wants to pass $13 a month for 5 years to make up on revenue from that bitter temp. State I live in several counties has to pay higher make up cost.

For Hobbes, that might work. For Calvin it would have about the same result as if the Coyote did it (except no cliffs).

The wood board would either break or just move a few inches down and jump back up if Hobbes jumped on it

For a few years in the 70s, Coke would run ads in the summer of quick cut scenes of winter recreation, and in the winter they would run ads of quick cut scenes of summer recreation.

A clever idea, but there’s no way Hobbes has enough weight to launch that thing.

I think Hobbes has been indulging in cat nip, he’s usually the smarter of this duo.

If he can stand on the board without launching the ball, how far can he hope to launch it by jumping?
