So tell me Earl what was taster. That bag of Cheetos® or that half package of Oreos®. That you had a while back. When you felt you needed a little nibble.
I worked as a dietary aide in a long term care facility for seniors for over three decades. I loved my job. I always got along so well with seniors. Now I am one myself. :-) There was a resident that loved her breakfast and supper. But she never wanted to eat lunch. She had done this all her life. The dietician implored us to try to encourage her to eat lunch. She was such a kind lady with a gentle spirit. I asked her if she would eat something—anything. Lunch was the main meal at this home. But this dear soul did not want anything. But then she seemed to relent for a moment and ordered a spoonful of peas—no meatloaf, mashed potatoes. I thought that some peas was better than nothing at all. When I with delight set them before her she said with a twinkle in her eye, “Thank you Michael. Now it looks as if I have eaten and left the peas.” Gee, I could not help but admire her. I thought that she was one smart funny lady! :-)
One of the best descriptions of the Cheetos effect was in the movie Over the Hedge. That scene where a character unfamiliar with packaging opened the bag and the orange cloud covered the neighborhood was truly funny.
My son and his wife became Vegan a year or so ago and tout the healthfulness of their all plant-based diet. So what did they eat over the weekend when they joined us during my daughter’s visit from out of state: Oreos, Cheetos, and Fritos. Health food!
Earl gave himself away. Eating the wrong snack. For me I did change my diet 5 years ago, restricted on food intake, and my weight is slowly going down. Sad I am still obese. Slow metabolism does not help nor little thyroid with thyroid pills. I do not go to commercial weight loss places as Nutrisystem or Jenny Criag.
Cheese Doodles are so much better than Cheetos. But it’s a long drive back to their normal distribution region. And there are so many cheesey corn puff snacks that are little better than eating styrofoam.

How would Opal know Earl ate Cheetos if he had no mustache? His orange fingertips as well as orange streaks on his trousers and/or shirt!

That “method” has worked for me these last 20 years. Most meals are “habit” inspired.

Dark chocolate, the healthful snack…made from beans. Just a few smudges on the fingers if slow from pkg. to mouth.

This same comic was posted within the last few weeks. Are they just random week-off comics?

Some of us would cry with joy at having someone ask us what we want for lunch. We are the ones who have to prepare them, even if just for ourselves.

Can’t they spray those things with organic epoxy, or something? It takes Lava soap to get it off my fingers now.
