I was inclined to doubt the author, then I figured I otter double check. :^) It is actually the last Wednesday of May. I knew one way or another I would either ferret out the truth, or play possum trying.

Beakless Chicken Day is actually a holiday in certain U.S. counties. None of my employers ever got the message.
Don’t they have a crick anywhere near the trailer park? There do be otters in that neck of the woods.
