While I really enjoy a good watermelon, I find the seedless to be less sweet than the old watermelons w/the seeds. My favorite melon is the Krenshaw.

Experience in private, but you are leaving a lot of evidence.

I found that adding a slight bit of salt enhances the flavor a whole lot. Some of the best melons come out of Hermiston, Oregon.

The family comes back and says, “Where did the watermelon go?” And then they say, “Oh, no! We left mom alone with the watermelon.” And then go into the back yard and find Elly there covered in red from head to toe passed out on the grass, and no watermelon anywhere to be found.

I think I’m going to barf..

For a reason, at least eaten like that. BTW, this isn’t private.

Corn on the cob can also require privacy

My dad had a friend who lived in Boston and when we were kids he invited us over to their house for lobster. His wife told us we were lucky he wasn’t wearing his usual attire of boxers only when eating lobster. Given the size of the guy, that was quite a visual for a 12-year-old boy

Some of the best foods are messy, Watermelon, Ribs, Pizza with lots of stuff. A long time ago when I was in High School, I finally got a date with the “It Girl.” She came to the door with White Gloves and an attitude. I took her to a rib place for dinner. There was no second date. We were both happy.

I have a print of this one. Now belongs to son.

What a disgusting pig! Is this how she really prefers to eat watermelon? Not me. I cut up pieces and eat them off of a plate using a knife. I never have to hose down after eating anything.

Sandias (watermelons) have become my garden’s zucchinis!

It’s a good thing all my family and neighbors like them because I had a bumper melon crop this year. It’s winter and they’re still growing!!

I’m sure the purists here will yell at me, but I prefer to cut up my watermelon into 1 inch square (or so) chunks for easier eating with a fork, and a touch of salt.

My SIL use to want all our watermelon rinds. She made the best watermelon sweet pickles with them. : q

At Scout Camp, we had a “Watermelon Cheer”, just like Ellie is doing without the real watermelon and seeds.

I’m glad Ellie is eating her watermelon her way in private. Because I would NOT like to watch her doing it.

Brings back memories of watermelon seed spitting contests with my sisters.
