Wow, “Houndey” went full Jimmy Cagney grapefruit scene on that poor lady in panel 3!

Karma Will Bite You in the Ass Fact: My wife’s grandfather worked on an upstate NY farm owned by Cagney. According to her grandfather, Cagney was a total dick to him. The farm eventually burned down and Cagney lost everything because he was too much of a cheap ass to insure it.

The fact that he inherited his fortune is irrelevant, I guess!

This is on target, but I cringed at the use of the Holocaust as a punchline. When MT Greene used it she was serious and was roundly condemned. Here it’s used as satire where “the Civil War” or “the French Revolution” would have worked just as well.

I used to have a good job in the Accounts Payable department of a large American corporation. Then one day, the powers that be decided that the A/P work could be done better in India. Goodbye job. I won’t mention the company’s name but their initials are United Rentals. Oops.

OK, but don’t ever take a real pitch fork to a rally. They are a lot more difficult to manage than they look like they would be, it’s hard to avoid maiming other demonstrators, they’re really heavy when you have to drag them back to the car, and you miss part of the rally.

It’s the house edge. Or like my grandfather told my dad back in the 1920s, “Son, they hold all the cards.”

I’ll second that proposal, but I have an amendment to put. I propose the original proposal include the words ‘and the entire developed world,’ and replace the word ‘America’ with ‘the USA’ making the original proposal read: I propose that the USA and the entire developed world rethink the policies that have favoured the wealthy for too long. Do I have a second for the amendment?
