Personally, I have no moral qualms over eating meat. For health reasons, I eat very little of it.

Life consumes life, and if every human converted to vegetarianism the world would still be full of animals killing and eating other animals. That being said, I support humane treatment of meat animals while they’re alive and humane methods of slaughter (anything’s better than having your entrails ripped open by teeth or claws and being chewed on while you’re still bleeding out), and being a meat-eater who doesn’t think animals should be harmed for entertainment purposes isn’t hypocrisy.

The late, great John Denver once said, “I could be a vegetarian if it wasn’t for beef burritos.”
