Will there be more idle talk as they wind through hallways ?  The lovers will be in a Sunday panel or two, as they sit staring dreamily across a table, post movie, with straws mingled in a shared frappe. Meanwhile… We get a Team Tracy color glimpse of Vera and Mysty as they start their appointed work for their demented comics fan slave master.

So, it’s not the same day, as we were wondering yesterday. Diet Smith hasn’t noticed anything unusual because Mysta has been away a lot lately on the promo tour, so Vera’s editor or office assistant might be the first to discover that something is amiss.

I must say, Diet Smith is looking good for his age.

The Mysta warning light is only at yellow, so no need for concern at the moment.

Meanwhile, in P3, a mysterious light glows behind Diet’s head.

Why did he ask Tracy over? Why, to brag, of course! He’s invented the polysynthetic, steam-driven hyperbolic randomly phasing egg that no longer needs a chicken and comes with your choice of sides (slaw unavailable on Tuesdays). A boon to science! Chickens everywhere are highly disgruntled.

And soon the story will expand and the dangers that lie ahead….but for who?

Can someone give me a refresher as to what it is that Mysta does at Diet Smith Industries?

“She’s off doing promotional work for Vera Allid”. And you know this Diet because; (a) she sent a text message. (b) She stopped by your office (off the story board and out of sight of us the readers) and talked about what was going on in her life. © Diet, you granted her a “leave of absence” from the company to pursue this book promotion tour. Probably said she would get a lot of exposure.

“I haven’t seen her in a couple of days”. Surely you don’t think she eloped with him, do you, Diet?

Is it just me or does Tracy suddenly have a fetish for police vehicles with sirens? Budget for MCU must be lean or they would have unmarked cars. Yo! Joe and Mike, if yawl are going feature police vehicles, how about an upgrade. The vehicles city and county police use where I live are the SUV type. Gentlemen, you need to get with the program.

All very casual so far, even languid, with Diet speaking seemingly trivial comments that might just mean more to us out here beyond the 4th Wall than they do to Tracy within it.

Meanwhile, we may wonder what new technology or app Diet and his scientists have come up with that is worth Tracy’s personal attention. A new and improved Space Coupe? Some high-resolution sensing device (such as could be useful in scanning a gated mansion/prison)? What? —Enquiring minds want to know!

Smith has invented a transporter. And his chief engineer is named Scotty.
