I grew up in a community where some claimed this, and learned the most vociferous were the least to be trusted. But there were some who lived this out as a quiet conviction. They earned my respect. I could not find this myself. I initially thought I had to follow the via negativa – but have now come to a different conception of the nature of the universe. Still, those living out faith in a gracious G_d have my respect.
