Consider yourself lucky Mike, present day it could have turned into a “Martha the Obsessed Stalker” story. Or have I been watching too many episodes of Deadly Women?

That’s the problem with Michael at that age. He hasn’t learned to listen to what women say. Martha didn’t say she still likes him! Martha said she REALLY wants to get seriously back together with you! Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it!

Luckily for you Mike, you got a gem for a mom.

A common misconception about love. People think that it is only a “feeling”. Love is an action, and an action that one can choose to exercise every day…or not. The “feeling” is actually “attraction”.

You fall in and out of love too many times, and you begin to get discouraged, and are in danger of giving up.

Hello police? Yes, we want to report a missing person by the name of Elly Patterson. Said person has been likely kidnapped and replaced by an impostor. How so? Because this woman was reassuring and did not lose her temper. Elly Patterson would get frantic, saying “I WORRY!” or “In my day, everything went right!”. Situation was where Michael Patterson (son of missing woman) reported failed relationship, and this woman did not lose her stability. Elly Patterson would scream “Why can’t you do anything right?” or “How am I supposed to boast to the other moms when something like this happens to you??”

Somehow I thought Elly meant that two people keep loving each other by finding (nurturing) the love they have for each other again and again, every day. Not that one person falls in love with person after person after person.

I wonder if Michael being a secret pornography fan had anything to do with it. We see Martha still looks like she did before, yet Michael thinks she does not look the same. Pornography is infamous for airbrushing and creating unrealistic images that are far unlike what women in the real world look like.

Mike’s at the age when “love” rips your heart out, which is bad enough, but then, kicks it under the car, and that can make someone tend to lose any feeling for that person… yup, been there, done that.

Well, we all know Elly’s love for her children is an illusion. She’d much rather have a spotless house and 10 unpaid servants to order around!
